Our Contract Farming Process
- Farmer Identification & Onboarding: We partner with individual farmers, FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), and cooperatives across targeted regions. Each farmer is carefully vetted based on land suitability, experience, and interest in cultivating specific herbs, millets, or spices.
- Crop Planning & Agreement: Based on market demand and agro-climatic conditions, we work with
our clients and agronomists to finalize the crop types, acreage, and yield expectations. We
then sign a formal agreement outlining:
- Crop variety and quality standards
- Procurement price or price formula
- Quantity commitments
- Responsibilities of each party (inputs, technical support, logistics, etc.)
- Input Supply & Technical Support: We provide farmers with high-quality seeds, organic inputs (where applicable), and fertilizers. Our agronomy team conducts regular field visits and provides guidance on best cultivation practices, pest management, irrigation, and harvesting.
- Monitoring & Traceability: Throughout the growing cycle, we monitor crop progress using field reports, photographs, and GPS-based mapping. This ensures compliance with standards and creates end-to-end traceability for buyers.
- Harvest & Post-Harvest Management: We coordinate harvest timelines to ensure peak quality. Our team assists with drying, cleaning, grading, and packaging—critical for spices and herbs, where aroma and purity are essential. For millets, we ensure moisture levels and processing needs are met.
- Procurement & Payment: Once the agreed produce is harvested and quality-checked, we procure directly from the farmers at pre-agreed terms. Transparent weighing, pricing, and prompt payment are ensured, building long-term trust with farming communities.
- Distribution to Buyers: We deliver bulk or packaged produce to our clients, which include food processors, herbal product manufacturers, spice traders, exporters, and retail brands. All produce complies with safety standards and certification requirements (such as Organic, Fair Trade, or GAP, if applicable).
